Trident Maple (acer buergerianum)
Well known for the superb colors of its foliage in autumn. The bark is a dappled pale brown and exfoliates with age, revealing a grey, orange and brown color. The small leaves (which resist scorching during drought) have 3 short lobes close together – hence the name “Trident”. The spring flowers are inconspicuous and the new growth is often bronze to purple. Very popular for bonsai because of the small handsome leaves. Decideous. Keep outdoors. 11 tree group, each 8-9 years old. 27″x18″x20″. Potted in a 22″ oval brown mica container as shown. Shipped via UPS Ground – $59.00.

Juniper in a Rock-Large (Juniper Procumbens “nana”)
We grow the Juniper in lava-rock (pumice stone) by boring a hole in the rock and sawing flat the bottom of the stone. Since the lava-rock is pourous the rock serves the same purpose as the bonsai pot. When we think of a traditional bonsai and what it should look like we think of a Juniper procumbens. They are hardy and long-lived and tolerate many adverse conditions. Popular and Unique. 5 years old 12″ – 14″ tall. Suitable 12″ round humidity tray is recommended. To purchase add $11.00. Shipped via UPS 2-3 days – $19.95.
