Yellow Pendula Begonia

Tassel Grape Hyacinth

The Grape Hyacinth ‘Tassel’, ‘Armeniacum comosum’, is a fall planted bulb. The Tassel grape hyacinth is the strangest looking Grape Hyacinth. Its flower stalk is up to 2 ft. tall with pale brown urn-shaped fertile flowers on the lower half, and blue flowers on the upper half. The cluster of flowers atop the stalk looks like a tassel. Grape Hyacinths are a hardy, no-care, mid spring flowering bulb. They are excellent as cut flowers, for rock gardens, beds, borders, and under trees and bushes. Try planting a large drift of Muscari armeniacum in your garden for a flowing effect.

Yellow Pendula Begonia

The Begonia Pendula Yellow, ‘Begonia’, a spring planted tuber, displays multitudes of beautiful yellow flowers. Pendula Begonias, sometimes called basket begonias, have smaller flowers than upright begonias, but what they lack in size they make up by producing great numbers of blooms. Weekly light fertilization will also assist in keeping the blooms healthy and vibrant. Pendula Begonias cannot dry out when they are in full bloom, daily watering, or twice daily watering in very warm weather may be needed.
